Michael Heck is a filmmaker based
in Brooklyn, NY.
Since graduating from NYU's Tisch School
of the Arts,
he has completed the short films Nathan
DuPree, the
two-part prequel/sequel Nathan DuPree:
The Preginning,
and, in 2005, Motel Room.
In 2008, he completed Puzzled, his long-unfinished junior-year
project. Puzzled premiered at the Short Film
Corner at the Festival de Cannes in May 2009 and the Big Apple
Film Festival in November 2009.
His latest film is I Will Possess Your Heart, a 7-minute,
black and white 16mm short that introduces Cliff and Sherry,
the unlikely couple whose anti-romance is explored in Michael's
